California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure

As mandated by the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657), companies manufacturing or selling products in California must disclose their efforts to eradicate forced labor and human trafficking from their direct supply chains. This legislation is intended to empower consumers to make informed purchasing decisions by providing transparency into company practices.

At Modish Code, we are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our business operations, including our supply chain. We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking.

Our Commitment to Ethical Practices

We collaborate only with vendors and suppliers who align with our core values and ethical standards. To ensure compliance:

1. Vendor Agreements

• All vendors are required to sign a formal agreement confirming their adherence to laws that protect workers’ rights, including compliance with standards for fair treatment, safe and healthy working conditions, and the prohibition of forced or child labor.

• These agreements are documented and retained to promote accountability and transparency.

2. Audits and Assessments

• We reserve the right to conduct third-party audits of our vendors and their factories. These audits assess compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and our contractual requirements.

• Audits are conducted on a periodic or as-needed basis and may be announced or unannounced to ensure thorough evaluations.

3. Non-Compliance Policy

• If a vendor is found to be in violation of our standards, including engaging in forced labor or human trafficking, immediate action is taken.

• This may include requiring corrective measures or terminating our business relationship with the non-compliant vendor.

Training and Awareness

We are dedicated to fostering awareness among our employees and partners regarding ethical practices and the risks of forced labor and human trafficking:

  • Key personnel responsible for supply chain management receive training to identify and mitigate risks related to human rights violations.
  • Training emphasizes recognizing warning signs, understanding global labor laws, and implementing proactive measures to address potential issues.

Continuous Improvement

Modish Code recognizes that addressing forced labor and human trafficking is an ongoing effort. We are committed to regularly reviewing and improving our policies, practices, and supplier relationships to ensure a sustainable and ethical supply chain.
